In all honesty, the last two weeks of October have been a blur. Starting the night of October 18th my pregnancy uncomfortableness took quite the turn towards miserable. Three consecutive appointments to monitor the baby movement later Brandon Allen Miller decided it was time to enter the world.

Friends and family visited us in the hospital over the next few days while I began my c-section recovery...

And, next thing you know poor Brandon was being forced into a photo shoot at home with Mom. Welcome to the life of a Miller child Brandon, your Mom is pretty attached to her camera!

I personally will probably always think of Brandon as our earth quake baby. Literally moments after I got the positive pregnancy test in Japan we were catapulted into the largest earth quake in 100 years in Japan. Quite the memory association!

The bum part of a c-section is the long recovery. Two weeks of nothingness which eventually is replaced by bare minimum-ness until nearly Christmas. I should say, bare minimum for me is the no-no status my treadmill still has... sigh... I'll probably be one of the few people running on Christmas Eve just because I finally can!
Meanwhile family has shown up to help. Our sister-in-law Deana and two lovely nieces came up this past weekend. Deana tended to Brandon so I could rest, and our nieces were AWESOME at playing with Liam. They even got to do a little early Halloween celebration together for the first time EVER! Very special!

Josh has been home helping with the boys while I am on the "do nothing" part of recovery. Therefore Josh got to go with Liam on his first "class" field trip to a pumpkin patch. I was pretty disappointed that I did not get to go. Liam is SO proud of the pumpkin he picked out. Thanks to Bethany I have this great photo of Liam and his friend Sam showing off their pumpkin picks.

The next thing we knew it was Halloween. We decided the best Halloween's involve making popcorn and I am pretty sure Liam would agree! He LOVED watching the air popper spit popcorn out every where. At one point he was laughing so hard I thought he was going to fall over!

We closed out Halloween with a little trick-o-treating for Liam. He is quite good (and exuberant) at saying "TRICK OR TREAT!" Brandon and I slowly followed behind Josh and Liam as they went store to store at the mall last night. I truly LOVED how excited Liam was as he'd tell me "E-um got trick or treat!" as he showed me what was in his bucket each time.

Now here it is November 1st. Brandon still does what babies do best - sleep. I'm sure he'll wake up just in time for Josh to return to work next week *wink*
